Lakeway is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States. The populace was 11,391 at the 2010 evaluation; up from 8,002 in 2000. The city is situated beside Lake Travis. It is an exurb in Greater Austin.
The town of Lakeway was established on the site of a 2,700-section of land farm claimed by Houston oilman and farmer Jack (Jake) Josey. In mid 1962 three Houston specialists related with the Gulfmont Hotel Company-G. Stone Sawtelle, John H.
